2026 Best Photos Program & Holiday Desserts!

Best Photos Program

Join us as members and friends of Saw Mill River Audubon share their favorite photos of birds, other wildlife and habitats and we also enjoy a holiday dessert buffet.  All are welcome to attend and you don’t need to bring desserts or submit photos to be part of this fun and casual evening. Come enjoy the images and desserts provided by others!  Free and open to the public.

Photo deadline is Friday, December 11. 
 
Please note that not all photos will be selected depending on the number of submissions and photo quality. We will notify all photographers with the line up of photographs by Monday, December 14, 6:00 pm.
 
(If you cannot attend the program, please do not submit photos or, if your plans change, just let us know  that ASAP, of course.)

For all photos submitted, list below the species name, location and date of photo. Approximate location such as town name only is okay but site names are of greater interest. Approximate dates such as month only are also okay.

How we will do the program

We will review all the photos submitted and let you know by Monday December 8, 6:00 pm, if your photos will be included in the program, if not before.

We will only use photos from people who will be at the program and able to say a few words about their photos. (See below for more about that.)

We will queue up all the photos and let you know that display order in advance.

As we show the photos, we will give photographers the opportunity to talk about their photos:

  • We ask you to have ready a couple of sentences to say about each of your photos being shown: why it is one of your favorites, and/or something about the subject and/or setting and/or the way you got the picture.
  • We will pass around a portable microphone to the different photographers seated in the audience.
