celebrating local bird photographers!

Saw Mill River Audubon celebrates our regional bird photographers by creating an annual calendar of New York birds.

Our last five years of calendars had some phenomenal photographs!

We are now seeking exceptional bird images to publish in our 2026 New York Birds calendar.

Photo selection guidelines:
* Please select clear images with bird(s) that fill the frame as much as possible, depending on layout.
* Note that a high-resolution photo will be needed for calendar reproduction.
* But you do NOT need to send highest-res photo for entry.
* Smaller file size transmits better through our form.
* Only submit birds photographed within New York state.
* Photographs do NOT need to be taken during 2025.

ENTRIES WILL OPEN JULY 1, 2025 | DEADLINE for entries is August 30, 2025

By September 5, 2025, we will contact all photographers who sent photos to let them know whether their photos were selected.

*** Please note that not all entries will be published.  We reserve the right to select photos of our choosing for this calendar.  And, if your photograph is selected but you are unable to provide a high enough resolution photo for printing of at least 300 DPI, we will, regretfully, have to miss including your photo in the calendar.

Entry Fee Per Photo

In support of the local conservation & education work for Saw Mill River Audubon, we are requiring a $10/photo entry fee. Payable by MasterCard or Visa online or by check mailed to our office. The submission fee for photo is not a guarantee that your photo will be selected for use in the calendar. See payment info in the confirmation email we will send you after you submit your photo(s).
